The book of Hosea is the first of “the book of the 12” or the minor prophets. Hosea details Israel’s unfaithfulness and its pursuit of others. God warns that punishment looms, and yet the book drips of God’s desire to gather His people not to destroy, to bind them to Himself and not to crush them.
